NFD and IAFF Local 140 Firefighter’s Union Commemorates 25th Anniversary of 9/11
Please join the Nashville Fire Department, Mayor Freddie O’Connell and the IAFF Local 140 Firefighter’s Union for the 2026 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony. For the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 the remembrance will begin with a procession down Broadway at 8:00 am. The procession will begin at 6th Avenue South and Broadway. The ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Fallen Firefighter’s Memorial at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
The memorial is located outside of the symphony center on the 3rd Avenue South Side at the bottom of the Pedestrian Bridge.
The memorial is open to the public and members of the media are encouraged to attend.
