Investigation at East Nashville's Caudle Veterinary Clinic Results in Arrest of Man for Felony Offense of Impersonating a Veterinarian
Community Crimes detectives this afternoon arrested Prashant Pandya, 45, for the felony offense of impersonating a veterinarian at Caudle Veterinary Clinic, 3607 Gallatin Pike in East Nashville.
The investigation began in September, in conjunction with the District Attorney’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration, after pet owners complained of taking dogs and cats to the clinic for procedures with adverse outcomes. Detectives are aware of at least seven instances between August 2025 and September of this year.
The investigation revealed that Pandya has never been licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Tennessee. The state reports that he applied for a license but has failed the required examinations. Despite that, Pandya has presented himself as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, using the title “Dr. Pandya” and wearing a white coat with the title “Dr. P.F. Pandya DVM” displayed.
In conjunction with the arrest, detectives are executing a search warrant at the clinic.
Additional charges are anticipated against Pandya as the investigation continues.
